I wrote a nice, long chapter to "The Hideaway" ... only to accidentally delete it and unsuccessfully try and restore it. I am VERY mad at myself right now! And at technology! ;) I'm hoping this will be a chance to write the chapter another day, and for it to be stronger than the first. But writing-energy has been thin lately, and I spent enough time on this to not want to start over. Although I will. Thank you to Anonymous for the wonderfully kind renewal of my subscription!!!! That makes my night better! And here is to my 6 year anniversary of being on DA - which is also an anniversary to some other great things, as well, including my love

It's been one hell of a year.  That might not be the most poetic way to start a journal entry, but it's the truth and sometimes truth just can't be made pretty. ;) Many good things have happened, but grief seems to always stick his head in when you least expect him, and I am definitely not recovered from the loss of my beautiful grandmother.  Not having her golden energy in this house makes the world seem cold and dark.  I know it isn't, but it is bizarre to realize you have just faced one of your worst fears ... and came out alive, although shell-shocked and battle-scarred.
